| Lower School (3-7)
Nursery and reception lay foundations in the six areas of learning emphasising basic reading, writing and number skills. There is a balanced programme of structured play, creative and physical activities, information and communication technology and science. La Jolie Ronde classes are run after school. Years 1 and 2 are taught by class teachers with the introduction of some specialist teaching. Attention continues to be paid to the acquisition of reading, writing, mathematics and science skills which are developed through cross curricular topics. Themes are carefully planned to provide a broad, exciting experience. Computers play a prominent role in extending and enriching learning. |

Upper School (7-11)
The curriculum is extended to include all academic subjects, new sports activities, swimming, speech and drama, P.S.H.E. and French.To develop subject knowledge, guaranteeing continuity and progression, there is an increasing amount of specialist teaching. I.C.T. lessons develop computer skills which are used in the study of all other subjects. Homework is completed daily to encourage independent learning. Provision is made for a small number of children with specific learning difficulties to be assessed and supported by our qualified special needs co-ordinator. | |
