Despite the weather (70 mph winds, rain and snow) Harriet, made the ascent of Snowdon last Friday to play her ‘cello in aid of Compton Care. Miss Hughes applauded Harriet’s resilience and positive approach, whilst the weather conditions were extremely adverse, and Harriet could hardly feel her fingers to play the ‘cello – she smiled throughout. At the summit they quite literally had to hang on to avoid being blown away. So far, as a result of her challenge, Harriet has raised £1116.00 for Compton Care. Well done – in recognition of this Harriet has been awarded a ‘Special Award’.
